This beautiful traditional thangka painting depicts Chenrezig. Also known as Avalokitesvara - "the One who looks with unwavering eye" - he is the most revered of all Bodhisattva. He embodies the compassion of all Buddhas and takes on many forms. Known as Thangkas or Thankas, these stunning works of Buddhist art are each carefully hand painted with natural dyes and colourings. They have been painstakingly constructed by extremely skilled artists in Nepal. Each of these large pieces is unique and has a deeply intricate and elaborate composition.
