FAQs
Why are you changing your sizing labels?
For a very long time, we have used 'One Size' labels on our clothing. This has, more often than not, meant 'this item only comes in one size' — not 'this item is one size fits all'.
This is because, unlike high street brands, we don't have huge warehouses to store lots of different sizes of the same item, and nor do the shops who buy our clothing have the stock room space to store them!
But we've listened to the feedback, and we understand that a 'one size' label that doesn't mean 'one size fits all' can not only be misleading but is sometimes upsetting when it doesn't fit as expected.
So, our new way of sizing clothing goes like this:
Free Size items are designed to fit a UK Women's size 8–14, or a Men's XS–M
Plus Size items are designed to fit a UK Women's size 16–22, or a Men's L–XL
One Size is designed to fit, and look good on, a UK Women's size 8–22, or a Men's XS–XL
M / L / XL for clothing that warrants individual sizing
By designing clothing that fits a range of sizes through being a loose fit or adjustable, it allows us to keep stocking clothing in sensible amounts, whilst providing you with clearer labelling — win, win!
However, we still have a lot of our existing clothing in stock. So, if your item has a 'one size' label, we have provided the measurements for each individual item on its listing on the website.
My item has a 'One Size' label, but there's no way it's 'one size fits all' — what's happened here?
Please refer to the question above: 'Why are you changing your sizing labels?' Our older stock uses 'One Size' to mean the item comes in one size only. We've provided the measurements for each individual item on its listing on the website.
I bought the same item and it's slightly different to the one I bought before — why's that?
Our clothing is made by a wide range of skilled makers across different countries. This gives each piece its own character, but it can (only sometimes) mean slight variations in finishing and measurements. If you're not completely happy with your garment, please get in touch — we're always here to help.
