About this product

This serene vision of a night time journey across the water has been captured through the use of the natural iridescent abalone shell. Our Mexican earrings are produced by hand in the picturesque town of Taxco using Alpaca metal alloy and silver plated hooks.

Meet the maker

In the idyllic town of Taxco, once famed for its silver mines, husband-and-wife team Gerardo and Elía run Exportaciones Guadalupe with their family. From their small shop they sell beautiful alpaca silver earrings featuring sustainably farmed abalone shell. On our visit, we squeezed into one of Taxco’s iconic little Volkswagen Beetles and headed into the hills to watch the shells being transformed into these beautiful earrings.
