About this product
This ceramic mask shows a split face, half depicts life and half depicts death. Ancient Mesoamerican cultures viewed life as closely intertwined with the reality of death, and these ancient civilisations had a very accepting relationship of death. Images of death were therefore commonly found in their art forms. All our barro ceramics are made by a small family-run pottery workshop in Texcoco.
