Tlatelolco Stamp
About this product
This clay stamp depicts a stylized eagle figure and is inspired by the traditional stamps used by pre-Hispanic people. Tlatelolco is known as The Plaza of Three Cultures due to this location representing the indigenous Aztec people, the Spanish colonies and a combination of both, the people of Mexico. Stamps were primarily used to decorate the skin or clothing with prepared dyes although they were also sometimes used to print patterns into pottery.
