Natural Bamboo Root Duck with Boots - 37cm
About this product
Classic bamboo root duck, but with laced boots! This little guy comes in a natural un-varnished finish, which is perfect if you want to paint your own duck or simply prefer the rustic look and feel.
Bali has a rich tradition of bamboo root carving, and the running duck figurine is one of its most recognisable craft exports. Each one is carved, sanded and hand-painted by local artisans. The carver decides on the shape and position of the duck by looking at the shape of the un-carved bamboo root making each duck unique.
This figurine has been handmade by artisans in Bali. Produced under Fair Trade principles, it supports the skilled makers behind the work.
