About this product

Delicate and symbolic, these angel earrings are a thoughtful gift or a personal reminder of peace and protection. They make a delightful accessory for the Christmas season, with their warm golden glow.

They are crafted by Ishmael Omondi and his small team in Nairobi’s Kibera settlement using recycled brass. Each pair is shaped, textured, and polished entirely by hand using simple tools and skilled techniques passed down through training and experience.

By supporting Omondi Jewellery, you’re supporting meaningful change. Ishmael’s workshop helps provide stable incomes for young people in his community, creating beautiful jewellery and brighter futures at the same time.

Meet the maker : Omondi

Based in Kibera, Nairobi

Omondi Jewellery is a small workshop based in Kibera, Nairobi – one of Africa's largest informal settlements - and is owned and run by Ishmael Omondi. He lived on the streets before being trained in the art of bone jewellery making through a project run by Zuri Design. Using recycled brass and bone, he creates a beautiful and distinctive range of jewellery, with his long term goal being to expand his team and provide fair employment opportunities to others from Kibera.
