Standing Tree of Life - Large
About this product
This breathtaking large ceramic Tree of Life is alive with colour, movement, and extraordinary hand-crafted detail. At 26cm × 25cm, every branch is generously adorned with delicately sculpted fruits, flowers, and leaves — each one individually crafted, painted.
The árbol de la Vida is a traditional Mexican clay sculpture with roots in the early colonial era, when Indigenous artistry merged with European iconography to create unique imagery. These richly colourful pieces have long been symbols of fertility, life, and creative expression.
Handmade with care in a small family workshop on the outskirts of Texcoco, Mexico, this one-of-a-kind ceramic supports local artisans and their communities. Siesta Crafts' commitment to Fair Trade ensures that this unique piece is produced ethically, with respect for both the environment and the people involved. Each Tree of Life is entirely individual, making it a rare and treasured addition to any collection.
Specifications: 26cm× 25cm
Why might products vary?
Many of our products are made by small producers who lack the resources to buy materials in bulk or they use recycled items, therefore products are often made from what is available.
For example, if you’re buying a crochet purse, the cotton is bought at the local market, so the makers are limited to the colours available on the day. Or if you’re buying an item made in patchwork or from recycled Sari, makers are limited to the colours and patterns that they’re given.
It all adds to the uniqueness of your lovely Siesta product!
