Plain Stool

A small, sturdy stool from a workshop in a village outside Chiang Mai, where carving and turning have been a local trade for generations. The stool is made from solid Raintree, a fast-growing tropical hardwood with a warm grain, finished with natural wax. Plain-topped: the unadorned version of the carved stools in this range. Versatile enough to use as a low seat, a side table, or a plant stand. Each piece is hand-finished, so the grain and tone will vary slightly from stool to stool. Care: clean with a dry cloth, or a natural beeswax polish if you want to bring up the shine. Avoid silicone-based aerosol polishes as they damage the wax finish.
