This stylish handmade rayon headband is perfect for keeping hair off your face during yoga, workouts, or just for adding some style to your everyday outfit. The soft rayon fabric is comfortable and breathable, while the elastic band ensures a secure fit that stays in place all day.
The striking fabric is made from offcuts of Balinese batik, including some of our own exclusive designs. Batik is a traditional Indonesian craft where artisans use wax to create resist patterns before dyeing the fabric, resulting in bold designs and beautiful colours, and by using fabric offcuts, these headbands help reduce waste while celebrating this timeless art form.
These headbands have been handmade by artisans in Bali, Indonesia, and your purchase supports Fair Trade practices and fair wages for these talented makers.
Why might products vary?
Many of our products are made by small producers who lack the resources to buy materials in bulk or they use recycled items, therefore products are often made from what is available.
For example, if you’re buying a crochet purse, the cotton is bought at the local market, so the makers are limited to the colours available on the day. Or if you’re buying an item made in patchwork or from recycled Sari, makers are limited to the colours and patterns that they’re given.
It all adds to the uniqueness of your lovely Siesta product!
