Super bright and comfy, these Guatemalan patchwork hats are cotton lined and have a wide brim, perfect for wearing at sunny festivals! Each hat has been carefully hand made in the town of Panajachel on the shore of Lake Atitlan from off cuts of handwoven material typical to that area. Please be aware that our patchwork products are made using up scraps of fabric that would otherwise be wasted. This means that each item is unique. Many of our products are made by small producers who lack the resources to buy materials in bulk or they use recycled items, therefore products are often made from what is available.
For example, if you’re buying a crochet purse, the cotton is bought at the local market, so the makers are limited to the colours available on the day. Or if you’re buying an item made in patchwork or from recycled Sari, makers are limited to the colours and patterns that they’re given.
It all adds to the uniqueness of your lovely Siesta product!
