This clay mask depicts Barahi, the fierce boar-headed goddess and Shakti of Vishnu. Revered as a powerful protector and embodiment of feminine energy, she is often worshipped for strength, transformation, and protection in tantric and Newari traditions.

Handcrafted near Kathmandu by Mr. Asta Bahadur Prajapati—one of Nepal’s last remaining clay mask artisans—each piece is shaped using traditional tools and fired with care. The mask comes mounted on a handmade lokta paper card, complete with information about the deity and the craft behind it.
