This wonderfully colourful style of fabric is known in Guatemala as 'Jaspe.' It uses a traditional and complex dye resist method and is woven on back-strap looms. This kind of material is often used to make the 'cortes', a kind of traditional Guatemalan skirt. Perfect for a craft or home decor project, this material is sold by the metre.
