Albesia wood is native to Bali and central to the island's woodcarving tradition. The wood is lightweight, fine-grained, and well-suited to detailed hand carving. This dragon is the work of Wayan, a skilled craftsman from the Gianyar region, an area long regarded as the heartland of Balinese craft. These dragons have been handmade by artisans in Bali, Indonesia.
