About this product

This beautifully etched singing bowl is dedicated to Green Tara, the beloved Buddhist goddess of compassion. Made from a resonant alloy of metals, it features intricate imagery around the rim and comes complete with a matching cushion and striker. When gently struck or rubbed, the bowl produces a deep, soothing tone ideal for meditation and sound therapy.

Singing bowls are used across the Himalayan region to support meditation and healing practices. The Green Tara motif celebrates the feminine energy of compassion and protection, reminding users to cultivate kindness and courage. The engraved mantras and designs not only beautify the bowl but also enhance its spiritual resonance during use.

Each bowl is hand hammered and etched in Kathmandu by skilled artisans who have perfected their craft over generations. We source our bowls through Fair Trade co-operatives that pay fair wages and reinvest in local communities. By choosing this ethically made instrument you support sustainable livelihoods and traditional Nepalese culture.

Singing Bowl Tone Info

We measure the dominant tone of each special singing bowl using a spectrum analyser. Because these bowls are hand-beaten, they produce a rich mix of overlapping frequencies that make every one unique. The best way to experience our bowls is to hear them in person — if there’s a particular bowl you’d like to try, get in touch to arrange a visit to our Canterbury shop.
