Recycled Sari Smoking Cap
About this product
Originating from the Victorian era when men of the gentry would wear these caps to cover the smell of their cigars, smoking caps are still popular and fashionable today. These smoking caps are made from remnants of saris and contrasting designs and colours have been paired together and finished with a tassel and brocade trim. The recycled nature of this product means that a huge array of colours and patterns are available and no two hats are the same.

Why might products vary?
Many of our products are made by small producers who lack the resources to buy materials in bulk or they use recycled items, therefore products are often made from what is available.
For example, if you’re buying a crochet purse, the cotton is bought at the local market, so the makers are limited to the colours available on the day. Or if you’re buying an item made in patchwork or from recycled Sari, makers are limited to the colours and patterns that they’re given.
It all adds to the uniqueness of your lovely Siesta product!
