About this product

This large, colourful mask of Shiva is a special hand carved piece from the Newari artisans in Nepal. Shiva is one of the most popular deities in Nepal and he is depicted here with traditional elements of iconography such as a third eye, a crescent moon, snakes and matted hair. Shiva is known as the 'Destroyer' or 'Transformer', and promotes the belief that we can overcome our inner demons through self awareness, self awakening and self control.
