Large Painted Djembe

A full-sized, serious djembe — hand-carved from certified legal wood with a traditional rope tuning system and a 9" goat skin head that delivers everything from deep, resonant bass tones to bright, crackling slaps. A capable instrument for players at any level.

The djembe's versatility makes it well suited to drum circles, adding percussion to a conga or kit setup, or as a standalone hand drum. This one is played with bare hands and rewards the full range of djembe technique. Each drum is individually dot-painted in Indonesia, so designs vary slightly.

Handcrafted on a Fair Trade basis, supporting fair wages for the artisans who make them.
