About this product

Stunning embroidery and woven fabrics feature heavily in these pretty Guatemalan purses as they have all been upcycled from traditional huipils. Each purse is fully lined and has both a zip and velcro fastening for extra security. They have thin straps so you can also wear as a small bag or crossbody bag, and this makes them perfect for festivals or a night out. Huipils are a traditional garment worn by women of Central and South America. Typically made on a back strap loom, these Guatemalan huipils are a fascinating show of the individuality and diversity of the country with each village having its own distinct style.
