About this product
The Rangda mask is a traditional Balinese mask seen in the Barong dance. The mask depicts Rangda who is the queen of witches and represents the personification of all evil. She is depicted with a grotesque visage with protruding fangs, wild goggle eyes and long tongue. In the dance, she leads a terrifying army of witches against the forces of good and their leader, Barong.

Why might products vary?
Many of our products are made by small producers who lack the resources to buy materials in bulk or they use recycled items, therefore products are often made from what is available.
For example, if you’re buying a crochet purse, the cotton is bought at the local market, so the makers are limited to the colours available on the day. Or if you’re buying an item made in patchwork or from recycled Sari, makers are limited to the colours and patterns that they’re given.
It all adds to the uniqueness of your lovely Siesta product!
