This spacious handmade rayon drawstring pouch is perfect for storing makeup, mini toiletries, or travel essentials. The soft rayon fabric and secure drawstring closure keep your belongings safe and organised, making it ideal for weekends away or everyday use.
The vibrant fabric is made from offcuts of Balinese batik, including some of our own exclusive designs. Batik is a traditional Indonesian wax-resist dyeing technique that creates textured patterns and bold colours, and by using fabric offcuts, these pouches help reduce waste while celebrating this beautiful craft heritage.
These pouches have been handmade by artisans in Bali, Indonesia, and your purchase supports Fair Trade practices and fair wages for these talented makers.
Why might products vary?
Many of our products are made by small producers who lack the resources to buy materials in bulk or they use recycled items, therefore products are often made from what is available.
For example, if you’re buying a crochet purse, the cotton is bought at the local market, so the makers are limited to the colours available on the day. Or if you’re buying an item made in patchwork or from recycled Sari, makers are limited to the colours and patterns that they’re given.
It all adds to the uniqueness of your lovely Siesta product!
