Resin Dancing Tara Statue

These wonderful hand painted resin statues depict the bodhisattva of compassion and wisdom, Tara. There are 21 forms of Tara in total and here she is shown as the Green Tara in a standing position with her hands in the Varada mudra (blessing pose. ) The Dalai Lama has talked of the goddess Tara in terms of a feminist movement and he states that she vowed to always be reborn as a woman so that when she attains Buddhahood, it will be as a woman.
