Julie is the talented creator of the sawdust products we stock. She works with a small team in Hangdong, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Magic Mixture

The amazing technique that Julie and her team have created involves using a clever mix of sawdust and PVA glue. This mixture forms a malleable paste which can then be moulded into any shape or form.

Once the design is moulded and dried they handpaint the figures to really bring them to life. Their most popular design is their fiery dragon!

Reducing Waste

By using the sawdust leftover from local rubber tree production sites, they are reducing waste and transforming what would otherwise be an unused material into something unique and full of character...quite literally!

She has recently expanded her line of animals pencils so much so that our collection now consists of 13 different designs.

Scaling It Up

Julie and her team don't just work to this small scale (which requires a lot of skill to work so tiny!), they also can produce larger pieces by using a chicken wire skeleton as a base and then building around that. One example is our fun mushroom pot, perfect as a trinket holder.
